CBGDLA Welcomes Alaskan Brewing
October is off to an incredible start as we welcome Alaskan Brewing to our portfolio of craft brews!
Celebrating their 30th anniversary in the brewing biz next year, Alaskan Brewing is by far one of the oldest and most respected craft breweries in the nation. With 48 Great American Beer Fest medals to speak of, they are the most award-winning brewery in this competition's history and their famous Smoked Porter has won more GABF awards than any other craft beer. They were the first brewery to be founded in Alaska since Prohibition and their products can now be found in 17 states from Washington to Texas.
All of their ales are brewed with pure Alaskan glacial water and ingredients sourced from the local environment including spruce tips and alder wood. Their portfolio includes a mix of oldies but goodies such as the flagship Amber Ale, as well as a hodge podge of hoppy newcomers such as Hopothermia Double IPA. The latest release in their Limited Edition series, which includes the heavyweight Smoked Porter, is the Heritage Coffee Brown Ale. This Pilot Series batch brewed in collaboration with a local coffee roaster was made in a very unique process in which the malt was roasted in the coffee roaster along with the beans and then cold brewed coffee was blended in at various stages of the brewing process for a rich coffee backbone.
We're very excited to have this special limited release for our inaugural launch in both 22oz bottles and draft as well as a mix of their core products and seasonals including the Pumpkin Brown and Winter Ale. Be on the lookout for these delicious ales at your local retailer and watering holes in the weeks and months ahead:
