Craft LA proudly welcomes Claremont Craft Ales!

Be on the lookout for these delicious local brews in the Los Angeles market!

Located in the city of Claremont in the eastern section of LA, Claremont Craft Ales became the city’s first brewery when opening their doors back in 2012. Owner and head brewer Simon Brown and his wife, Emily Moultrie, were long-time residents of Claremont, passionate homebrewers and saw a need for a local brewery and tasting room to bring the community together.

Three years later they have created just that. Their tap list includes a variety of offerings for every palate and level on the beer geek scale, a comfy and inviting tasting room with free wifi for those looking to work and imbibe, food trucks nearly every day of the week, yoga/beer nights and many other events to get residents excited about stopping by. Not surprisingly, in the three years they’ve been open their production has increased from 100 barrels in their first year to an anticipated 2500 barrels by the end of 2015.

Simon and his team dabble in everything from easy-going blonde and pale ales to oaked red ales and Bourbon barrel-aged stouts, but their versions of the typical West Coast IPA is what they are best known for. Their flagship Jacaranda as well as the Station 101 both receive a hefty addition of malted rye for a more complex character and the Coffee Del is blended with fresh South American coffee for a unique and spicy experience.

We are excited to have all three of these beers in-stock for our launch and invite you to give them a try if you haven’t already! Cheers!

Now Available:

Jacaranda (Rye IPA, 6.7% ABV, 60 IBUs)
Jacaranda is the flagship beer of Claremont Craft Ales. This wonderfully balanced beer appeals to drinkers of all stripes thanks to the complex malt character of the rye. The copious amounts of Centennial hops balance perfectly with the spiciness and pepperiness of the rye malt.
Available in 16oz can 4-packs, ½ and ⅙ kegs
Station 101 (Red IPA, 6.5% ABV, 80 IBUs)
A truly satisfying IPA … the deep red appearance comes from the addition of highly-kilned crystal malts, while the stiff bitterness comes from a heavy dose of Summit hops. Round it all out with wonderful earthy and tropical aromas from the large Amarillo and Citra dry-hopping, and you have a delightfully dank and rich IPA.
Available in 16oz can 4-packs, ½ and ⅙ kegs
Coffee Del (Coffee IPA, 7.1% ABV, 90 IBUs)
A relatively new style to the craft beer world, we incorporate "Panamanian Elida" coffee from a local coffee roaster, Klatch Coffee, into our Del IPA to create a shockingly original beer. The highly aromatic hops combine with the smooth Panamanian coffee to produce a unique spicy character.
Available in ⅙ kegs
